“Trash kingpin” and Trump appointee Anthony Lomangino bought a historic Palm Beach estate known as Villa Flora for $76.7 million in an off-market deal.
Records show the seller is Sequel Capital’s Harvey Kinzelberg and his wife Mary Ann Kinzelberg. Lomangino and his wife Lynda Lomangino were the buyers of the 2-acre estate at 260 North Ocean Boulevard. Christian Angle with Christian Angle Real Estate represented both sides of the sale. He did not respond to requests for comment.
Anthony Lomangino is a waste management executive, longtime GOP donor and Mar-a-Lago member who President Donald Trump appointed to the United States Postal Service board of trustees last year.
The Florida Bulldog has called him the “Palm Beach trash kingpin” for his involvement in waste and recycling businesses like LGL Recycling and Southern Waste Systems. Trump also appointed his wife, Lynda Lomangino, to serve on the board of the Kennedy Center alongside Randy Kraft’s wife Dana Kraft, José Fanjul’s wife Emilia Fanjul, Steve Wynn’s wife Andrea Wynn and Ike Perlmutter’s wife Laura Perlmutter, all of whom live in Palm Beach.
The Lomanginos sold a different oceanfront Palm Beach mansion for $38.8 million in June, after listing it for $43.5 million in 2022.
Harvey Kinzelberg is founder of private equity firm Sequel Capital and Meridian Leasing Corporation. He and his wife bought Villa Flora for $9.6 million in 2001, according to property records. Built in 1930, the 2-acre compound was designed by Addison Mizner, one of Palm Beach’s celebrated early architects known for pioneering the island’s distinct style. The 10,700-square-foot mansion includes five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and a private beach parcel, records show.
It marks the latest high-profile deal in Palm Beach real estate’s busy season. Last month, advertising mogul Richard Schaps sold a waterfront home for $32.5 million. Also in January, L Catterton boss Michael Chu sold his oceanfront home for $58.3 million, and British investor Pamela W. Starret sold her lakefront estate for $72 million, in off-market deals.
