Teddy Swims to headline Super Bowl 60 tailgate concert

Try not to lose control over the fact that Teddy Swims will perform at the Super Bowl 60 Tailgate Concert.

The NFL announced Jan. 28 the Grammy-nominated “Lose Control” singer will headline the show before the Super Bowl on Feb. 8 outside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, before the big game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

Swims’ concert will stream live at 3:50 p.m. ET on Peacock and can be heard on 120 iHeart stations across the United States, as well as the iHeartRadio app. LaRussell, a rapper who hails from the Bay Area, will serve as Swims’ opener.

“The Super Bowl is one of those events I grew up watching with my dad and brothers and have always dreamed of being at and performing!” Swims said in a statement. “Coming from a football family I played and watched my whole life, the Super Bowl was a favorite past time for me and my family to get around and hang together. It’s an honor to be a part of it and kick off the game!”

The tailgate concert began with Super Bowl 54 and has featured acts like Miley Cyrus, The Chainsmokers, The Black Keys, Jason Derulo, Gwen Stefani and Post Malone.

After the tailgate concert, Green Day with perform at the Super Bowl opening ceremony, set to air live at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock and Universo.

Before the game, Charlie Puth will sing the national anthem, while Brandi Carlile will sing “America the Beautiful” and Coco Jones will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Bad Bunny is slated to perform the halftime show.
