Kelly Osbourne is stepping out for an important cause.

The “Fashion Police” alum made a rare public appearance in Birmingham, U.K., to accept the Lord Mayor’s Award and a book of condolences on behalf of her late dad Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away at age 76 in July.

For the Dec. 3 outing, Kelly Osbourne, 41, paired her all-black ensemble with a matching hairbow and her dad’s signature round-rimmed sunglasses as she posed alongside the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zafar Iqbal and her mom Sharon Osbourne, 63, who held the award plaque. Following the ceremony, the two Osbourne women also enjoyed a delicious lunch with Iqbal, his Deputy Lord Mayor Ken Wood and other members of the city council.

“I just want to take a second to thank the people of Birmingham for not only showing my family so much love but for showing up for my father in a way that made him the happiest man on the planet,” Kelly Osbourne said in a video posted to X by Birmingham City Council Dec. 3. “We got to see the book of condolences that has hundreds of thousands of signatures in it. It’s beyond our wildest dreams. We can’t thank you enough.”

And she emphasized that the Lord Mayor’s Award, which celebrates individuals and groups’ outstanding achievement or exceptional service to Birmingham and its people, would have been extra special to her father, who was raised in the U.K. city.

“The one thing my father was proudest of was that he was a Brummie,” she added. “Birmingham has done him proud.”

Since Ozzy’s passing on July 22, Kelly Osbourne — who is mom to son Sidney, 2, with fiancé Sid Wilson — has stayed mostly out of the spotlight, though she did make an exception by attending a cocktail event hosted by Rebecca Vallance with her mom in November.

And that should come as no surprise, considering “The Osbournes” alum previously got candid about how grieving the Black Sabbath musician —w ho also shared kids Jack Osbourne, 40, and Aimee Osbourne, 42, with Sharon, as well as Jessica Osbourne, 46, and Louis Osbourne, 50, with first wife Thelma Riley and Elliott Kingsley, 54, from a past relationship—hasn’t been a linear experience for her.

“Grief is a strange thing,” Kelly wrote on her Instagram Story Aug. 4. “It sneaks up on you in waves—I will not be ok for a while—but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”
