Reality star Sam Logan bought a waterfront home in Miami’s Belle Meade for a record $22.1 million in an off-market deal.
Records show Logan bought the house at 905 Belle Meade Island Drive from Mohammed Hussain. The deal follows a year after he sold a waterfront home on Chase Avenue in Miami Beach for $11 million, a $2 million loss from his purchase price.
Logan was a cast member on MTV’s “Siesta Key,” a reality show set in Sarasota that filmed from 2017 to 2023. His father, Sam Logan Sr., is one of the family members that runs Logan Construction Group, a Sarasota-based firm that builds homes in the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. His mother, Elizabeth Logan, is the grandniece of Ellen Browning Scripps, the journalist, 19th century media mogul and namesake of Scripps College. Scripps’ heirs today own Scripps Network Interactive, the parent company of television networks HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and DIY Network. The younger Sam Logan has a 10 percent stake in the company, according to published reports. In September, People reported his engagement to influencer Katie Canham.
Hussain is a spec developer who bought the 0.4-acre property for $2.7 million in 2021, records show. He started construction on the new home last year, according to property records. Completed this year, the house spans more than 10,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, an eight-car garage, gym and spa. It also has 100 feet of waterfront, according to a social media post for the property.
The previous record sale price record for Belle Meade was set in 2023 when Tom Cruz, a real estate investor and influencer known for his involvement in Section 8 housing, spent $17.8 million for a waterfront mansion at 1125 Belle Meade Island Drive.
Other high-profile sales in the neighborhood include powerboat racer, developer and poker player Ross Romash’s 2021 purchase of a waterfront mansion for $13.3 million at 1133 Belle Meade Island Drive.
