Movers & Shakers: Eastdil Secured lands Florida multifamily practice director



In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, top firms made key hires ahead of the region’s busy season. 

Eastdil Secured brought in Nick Lavin as a director with its National Housing Group, where he will lead the firm’s Florida multifamily practice, according to a press release. Lavin will also support the firm’s work broadly across the Sun Belt, the release shows. Lavin joins Eastdil from JLL, where he worked for more than six years, most recently as a senior director with its Capital Markets team. He will be based in Eastdil’s Miami office. 

JLL tapped Angela Kyle as senior vice president for its South Florida tenant representation team, according to a press release. Kyle previously led sustainability client partnerships for JLL in New Orleans, and she has been with the firm since 2022, LinkedIn shows. In her new role, she will focus on advising public institutions and health care organizations, the release shows. 

Maile Aguila joined the Agency’s Miami office, a press release shows. She had previously worked with Swire Properties for more than 30 years, where she was a senior vice president of residential sales and led sales for a number of Brickell condo projects. With the Agency, she will be leading sales for HQ Residences Miami, the newly launched 35-story, 229-unit condo tower Sam Nazarian and Marc Anthony are planning in Miami’s Edgewater. 

The Agency is also launching an office in the Florida Keys, led by Lisa and Tim Swanson, a press release shows. The office in Key West marks the firm’s seventh office in Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Palm Beach, Orlando and Miramar Beach. 

Agent Rachael Brook jumped to Douglas Elliman’s office in Miami Beach, after seven years with S. Pearlman & Associates in Los Angeles, a press release shows. Brook works across Florida, California and New York markets, and her focus in Miami Beach will be new development, luxury relocation and investment sales, the release shows.
