In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, firms made leadership picks and bulked up on agents.
Fontainebleau Development hired Raj Mohan as vice president and managing director for its JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura, according to a press release. He joins the firm from Pyramid Global Hospitality, where he was managing director of Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, a 485-acre property with two golf courses, 43 tennis courts and a sports academy. He has held resort operations positions at hotels in Aruba, Jamaica, China and Canada, the release shows. In his new role, Mohan will focus on guest experience and expanding business opportunities.
Linkvest Capital appointed three members to its board of directors: Eddy Arriola, Nicolás Santos and Juan David Perdomo, according to a press release. Miami-based Linkvest is an alternative investment firm led by principal Camilo Niño. Arriola is CEO of Arriola & Co. and former founder, chairman and CEO of Apollo Bank, a Miami-based community bank that sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2022. Santos is a founding partner of Ikalon, a multi-family office in Bogotá. Perdomo heads Vision Planning Group, another multi-family office in Bogotá.
Compass landed two South Florida teams, according to press releases. The brokerage brought in Galleria International Realty in Fort Lauderdale, a 71-agent team that will be based in its Las Olas Boulevard office, the release shows. Founded in 2009 and led by Patricia Anglero, the team has closed more than $2 billion in total sales, according to the release.
Compass also landed the Andrade Group, the 29-agent team led by Jorge Andrade and Henny Barreto, a release shows. The group closes $50 million in annual sales and will be based out of Compass’ Coconut Grove and Winter Park offices, according to the release. They specialize in Miami-Dade, Broward and Orange county markets, a spokesperson confirmed.
Serhant landed agent Veronica Peters in its Delray Beach office, according to a press release. Peters has closed more than $88 million in career sales, the release shows. She joins the firm from Premier Estate Properties, where she has been a Boca Raton-based agent since 2021, her LinkedIn shows.
Real estate law firm Weiss Law brought in Andy Gross as Of Counsel, according to a press release. Gross is a real estate lawyer who joins from Gross Simon PLLC, where he worked on projects like W Fort Lauderdale and Infinity at Brickell in Miami, the release shows.
