Selena Gomez is urging her fans to calm down.
The “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer shared a message seemingly addressing recent comments by Hailey Bieber, whose Rhode Beauty line is now sold in Sephora stores alongside Gomez’s Rare Beauty products.
“Just leave the girl alone,” Gomez wrote in an Oct. 17 Instagram Stories post, which was deleted shortly thereafter. “She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance not intelligence.”
Instead, the 33-year-old — who married music producer Benny Blanco in September — pleaded with her followers to “be kind.”
“All brands inspire me,” she continued. “There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop.”
Days earlier, Bieber — who tied the knot with the “Only Murders In the Building” star’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber in 2018 — spoke about her brand’s expansion, noting that she’s not interested in competing with the other offerings on the shelves.

“It’s always annoying being pitted against other people,” the 28-year-old said in an interview with WSJ. Magazine published Oct. 14. “I didn’t ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.”
Indeed, Bieber insisted she’s only focused on one competitor: herself.
“I think there is space for everybody,” the model shared. “I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.”
While rumors of a feud have followed Bieber and Gomez for years, both entrepreneurs have repeatedly denied holding any ill will for one another. For instance, Gomez spoke out in March after learning that Bieber was facing criticism online.
“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” Gomez wrote in an Instagram Stories post at the time. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.”
“I’ve always advocated for kindness,” she added, “and really want this all to stop.”
