Is 'SNL' new tonight? Here's who's hosting, performing for Oct. 11 episode

Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” kicked off with Bad Bunny and Doja Cat last weekend, and another episode is on the way tonight.

Bad Bunny, who had just been announced as the 2026 Super Bowl performer, marked his second time hosting “SNL” on Oct. 4, following his hosting debut in 2023. Doja Cat also performed her hit tracks, “Gorgeous” and “AAAHH MEN!”

The first episode of Season 51 came after some big cast shakeups, including the departures of Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim.

Five new cast members were added for the new season: Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska. Avid “SNL” viewers may remember Marshall, a writer since 2021, as part of the Please Don’t Destroy trio, which has made on-camera appearances since Season 47.

Here’s what to expect for the next episode of “SNL.”

Is There a New Episode of ‘SNL’ on Tonight?

Yes, the second episode of Season 51 airs on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Amy Poehler, the “Parks and Recreation” star and an “SNL” alum herself, is taking on hosting duties for the Oct. 11 episode, and Role Model will be the musical guest.

This will be Poehler’s third time hosting, following appearances in 2010 and 2015, and Role Model’s first time performing.

Role Model, born Tucker Pillsbury, performed on the TODAY Plaza earlier this year, and even brought out Al Roker during his hit track, “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.”

Poehler was a longtime player on “Saturday Night Live,” appearing on the show from 2001 to 2009, including a stint as “Weekend Update” co-anchor starting in 2004.

Poehler notably launched her own podcast, “Good Hang,” in March 2025. Guests have included Aubrey Plaza, Kristen Wiig and Selena Gomez.
