The NEXT Weather Team has issued a Next Weather Alert Day for Friday due to the risk of flash flooding.

Rain gauges say rainbands dropped widespread 1-3″ overnight, with isolated spots up to 5″. That heavy rain overnight set up the stage for additional flooding as storms redevelop this afternoon and evening

Rounds of rainfall starting this afternoon could continue overnight. Some areas in the Coastal metro could end up with 4-6″ between Friday and Saturday.
