Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are looking forward to some marvelous tunes at their wedding.
Less than a month after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed to “The Life of a Showgirl” singer, he teased where they are at in planning, noting they’ve already decided on a debate that plagues many engaged couples: DJ or live band?
As he told guest Jimmy Fallon during the Sept. 17 episode of “New Heights,” “Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?”
And the 35-year-old confirmed that now that his and Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City steakhouse is up and running, planning the wedding is his number one priority.
“That’s the next step in it all,” he shared. “That one is gonna be easy, I just have to figure out how to win a football game first.”
Swift, meanwhile, hasn’t addressed her engagement publicly since her infamous Instagram post confirming the exciting news Aug. 26, but she previously shared a bit of insight into how she’d go about wedding planning.

“I want to build a life with someone that’s based on their dreams as well as my dreams,” Swift told Cosmopolitan in a 2012 interview. “I don’t want it to just be like, ‘So, I have a scrapbook. In it, I put all the fabric swatches of the wedding dress I’m going to wear. I also have a tuxedo I picked out of a catalog that you’ll wear.’”
Indeed, Swift noted that she wanted her — then hypothetically — future fiancé to be part of all the planning. As she put it, “I don’t want him to wonder if it even matters if he’s there.”
Although Swift detailed those desires over 10 years before she and Kelce were even an item, she has found exactly what she’s looking for in a partner. After all, Swift admitted her younger self somewhat manifested him, especially in how he publicly pursued her.
“I was like, ‘If this guy isn’t crazy,’” Swift recalled of Kelces’ friendship bracelet debacle during her Aug. 13 appearance on “New Heights.” “This is sort of what I’ve been writing about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.”
Travis Kelce may have played in 4 Super Bowl games, but proposing to Taylor Swift still made him nervous.
