The force was strong on Friday afternoon as Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen performed a rendition of the 7th-inning stretch at Wrigley Field.
But we’re not talking about a mystical energy, rather the force of a jet.
Christensen and his daughter sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” as the Chicago Cubs took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. But just as the duo began, a fighter jet taking part in practice runs for the Chicago Air and Water Show whizzed over Wrigley Field, startling spectators and stealing the show for a brief moment.
The actor, who also threw out the first pitch at the ballgame, didn’t seem fazed; he laughed it off and carried right on.

The rather unusual disruption prompted some cheeky comments on social media.
“Hayden Christensen and his daughter sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame at the Cubs game and had their own special (unplanned) flyover,” the MLB said on X.
Another social media user said Christensen’s “Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ singing slipped over to the Dark Side a time or two.”
