Collin Gosselin is thinking about what could’ve been.
The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum — one of Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin’s 21-year-old sextuplets — penned an emotional message to his siblings on social media following more than a decade of family drama and estranged relationships.
“Born to be a team, us against the world,” Collin Gosselin — brother to Alexis, Aeden, Hannah, Leah and Joel, as well as 24-year-old twins Mady and Cara — wrote over an old family photo shared to TikTok August 8. “Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could’ve looked like.”
After all, the siblings’ onscreen childhood was often accompanied by cheating allegations, custody battles and estranged relationships.
“Forced apart, pitted against each other,” Collin Gosselin — who currently lives with his father and sister Hannah while he remains estranged from his mother and six other siblings — continued in the caption. “All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?”
The Gosselin kids are all grown up. Jon and Kate Gosselin’s sextuplets – Aaden, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah – turned 18 on Tuesday. Their dad marked the milestone on his Instagram story, sharing a throwback photo from their childhood.

“I will always love them more than anything,” he added. “The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared. I love you guys…”
Back in 2023, Collin Gosselin blamed his mother for their broken family dynamics. After all, Kate Gosselin sent him to a boarding school for children with behavioral issues back in 2016 before his father stepped in to remove him two years later.
“I think my mom kind of drove a social barrier between us,” Collin Gosselin said in a July 2023 episode of Vice TV’s “Dark Side of the 2000s.” “She told them the story one way, and, obviously, I see the story a different way.”
Then, last year, he went as far as accusing Kate Gosselin of locking him up in their basement when he was growing up.
“My mother had a room built in our unfinished section of the storage basement,” he told The U.S. Sun last September. “She had a room put up with cameras in it, a tiny window in the corner and it was bolt-locked from the outside. It was like a containment room, and it had a mattress on the floor and that’s how I lived.”
And while alleging his mother often became “physically aggressive and verbally very abusive,” Collin Gosselin continued, “When my mother would put me in that room multiple times, she had zip-tied my hands and feet together and bolt locked the door, turned the lights off and had cameras there just watching me.”
Days later, her lawyer Richard Puelo issued a response.
“She never wants to comment because she always knows that this gets taken out of context,” Puelo told Fox News at the time. “She doesn’t want to comment. Doesn’t need to. The record speaks for itself.”
“The facts belie the truth,” he continued. “Whatever took place, the ones that are truthful are the ones that took place.”
