Kelley Mack’s Walking Dead family is carrying on her legacy.

Hours after her sister Kathryn shared the heartbreaking news that the actress—known for her recurring roles as Addy on The Walking Dead, as well as her guest spots on 9-1-1 and Chicago Med—died at 33 following a battle with cancer, her former costars expressed their grief in the comments of the August 5 Instagram announcement.

Gustavo Gomez—Marco on TWD—expressed how grateful he was for the time they got to spend together on set.

“This is heartbreaking,” he wrote. “I feel so lucky that our paths crossed. Your bright light will aways shine on.”

Meanwhile, Anthony Michael Lopez (Oscar) commended Kelley for her strength while undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer called diffuse midline glioma—caused by a highly aggressive, cancerous brain tumor that develops in the midline structures of the brain—prior to her death.

“My deepest condolences, Kelley was such a sweet and happy soul and I’m happy to have met her,” he added in the comments. “She fought so hard. Sending her and your family lots of light and love. Rest easy Kelley.”

Director Michael Satrazemis also commented, “I was lucky enough to create with Kelley on TWD. A bright light on every level. All my love to those who love her.”

And while announcing the tragic news, her sister penned a few words of her own.

“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley,” Kathryn captioned the Aug. 5 Instagram post. “Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”

Noting that Kelley (whose real name was Kelley Lynne Klebenow) passed away “peacefully” with her mother Kristen and aunt Karen by her side, the statement continued, “Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”

Before closing out the heartfelt tribute, Kathryn made sure to dedicate a special note to all of her sister’s loved ones.

“She would want you all to know how much she loves you,” she wrote. “And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so f–king proud of her.”
