The Mystery Gang Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the case.

Two days after fans speculated that she and her former “I Know What You Did Last Summer” costar Jennifer Love Hewitt are feuding due to their lack of pictures together on the red carpet of the horror sequel’s July 14 premiere, the “Scooby-Doo” alum reacted to the rumors.

“For everyone asking – I never got to see @jenniferlovehewitt, who is fantastic in the movie,” the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star wrote July 16 in the comments section of her Instagram post recapping the movie premiere. “I was inside with my kids when the big carpet happened. And unfortunately JLH didn’t come to the after party.”

Gellar — who starred in the original 1997 film alongside her now-husband Freddie Prinze Jr., with whom she shares kids Charlotte, 15, and Rocky, 12 — also noted that Hewitt isn’t the only cast member she wasn’t able to snap a pic with.

“If you have ever been to one of these it’s crazy. I sadly didn’t get pics with most of the cast,” she continued. “But that doesn’t change how amazing I think they all are. Unfortunately some things happen only in real life and not online.”

While Gellar attempted to put rumors of a rift to bed, it’s not the first time she or Hewitt have had to address speculation. In fact, the 9-1-1 actress recently shut down rumors that she had Gellar — whose character is killed off in the first IKWYDLS movie — written out of the film.

“I was 18. They were not taking script notes from me,” Hewitt said during a December episode of the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast. “All of us were in that experience together, figuring it all out and everything. And I root for her and Freddie.”

Indeed, as she put it, “I think it’s the cutest thing in the world that they’ve been married for 100 years and have kids. It’s adorable. So it’s just been really funny to see all of this stuff.”
