Pizza Hut has turned Taco Tuesdays into Pizza Tuesdays due to a limited-time offer for $2 Personal Pan Pizzas.
The restaurant chain is serving up one-topping Personal Pan Pizzas for just $2 on every remaining Tuesday in July, it announced in a recent press release.
“Personal Pan Pizzas are flying off the shelves as fans rush to grab this iconic favorite at an unbeatable price for a limited time. The promotion sent pizza lovers into a total frenzy with more than 3,100 Pizza Hut restaurants sold out on launch day,” Pizza Hut said in its release.
Pizza Hut also shared the news in several promo videos on Instagram, where it explained the Personal Pan Pizza offer is for carryout orders only at participating Pizza Hut locations while supplies last.
The $2 deal has a limit of up to four Personal Pan Pizzas per customer. Additional charges will be added for extra toppings and extra cheese. Taxes, tip and fees are extra. Order at the restaurant or through the Pizza Hut app.
Pizza lovers responded to the offer by sharing their glee in the comments of Pizza Hut’s social media posts.
“My favorite pizza of all times,” wrote one Pizza Hut fan
“Omg stop! I’m ordering now!” said another.
Some happy customers simply expressed their gratitude, with one writing, “I got my pizza!!!! Thanks for dinner and lunch.”
There are some, particularly those who posted on TikTok, who are concerned about employees keeping up with demand.
“Take away the deal. People are being disrespectful to employees, they don’t deserve it,” wrote one.
“Whatever CEO cooked up this idea ought to be sent to work at a Pizza Hut baking these things all day while getting yelled at by belligerent customers,” added another.
A representative for the chain tells TODAY.com via email that Pizza Hut is working with locations to ensure they are “prepared for each Tuesday going forward given the incredible demand and excitement we saw from customers.”
