Miami Dolphins quarterback Tuanigamanuolepola “Tua” Tagovailoa sold his Davie home.
Tagovailoa sold his five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom house at 10972 Pine Lodge Trail in Broward County, according to the listing for the property. The 5,076-square-foot home sits on a 0.8-acre lot on a lake. It sold for $2.6 million.
The buyer’s identity is not available, as the deed has not yet been recorded.
Tagovailoa paid $1.7 million for the house in 2020, records show, after signing a four-year $30 million contract with the Dolphins. He listed the house for sale in April of this year with Coldwell Banker agent Jon Mann, who is part of the Jills Zeder Group. Danny Hertzberg represented the buyer.
The sale closed last week, as first reported by Homes.com. The house hit the market for $3 million.
The Athletic and other publications have suggested in recent reports that Tagovailoa’s time with the Dolphins could be coming to an end soon, in part due to his concussion history. A year ago, he signed a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with the Dolphins. Developer Steve Ross, who is chairman and CEO of Related Ross, owns the NFL franchise.
A number of athletes call South Florida home. Tagovailoa and a couple of other Dolphins players bought their homes about the same time, including Kyle Van Noy and Clayton Fejedelem.
Last year, professional football player Jason Pierre-Paul sold his Boca Raton mansion for $11.9 million. The Dolphins signed Pierre-Paul in November 2023, but waived him the following month.
Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce rented a mansion in Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, Boca Raton’s most expensive neighborhood, for off-season training.
Adin Ross, a 24-year-old internet personality and gaming streamer, recently paid $25.5 million for a massive estate in Davie, setting a record for the western Broward town. His 11,325-square-foot, seven-bedroom and eight-bathroom mansion sits on 10 acres.
