“Queer Eye” is gearing up for one last round of makeovers.
Netflix announced July 9 that the Emmy-winning reality show’s upcoming 10th season, which just started filming in Washington, D.C, will be its last.
“Queer Eye,” which debuted in 2018, originally starred food expert Antoni Porowski, grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness (JVN), relationship expert Karamo Brown, style expert Tan France and interior design expert Bobby Berk as the show’s “Fab Five,” before Brent stepped in to replace Berk for seasons nine and 10.
“10 seasons. fab five. one last go ’round,” the show’s official Instagram account captioned a photo of its five stars standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial. “The final season of QUEER EYE is officially in production!”
Jonathan Van Ness was inspired to learn more about the world as they grew up in the family journalism business. Now you can see JVN in “Getting Curious” on Netflix. In the series, they hear more about gender identity from a Two-Spirit Indigenous artist, go figure skating and learn about insects. Plus, we talk more about the latest season of “Queer Eye” and how the show faced resistance in Texas.
Throughout its tenure seasons at Netflix, “Queer Eye, a revival of Bravo’s mid-aughts series “Queer Eye” for the Straight Guy, was nominated for a whopping 37 Emmys, winning 11— including six consecutive Outstanding Structured Reality Program trophies.
