Lauren Sánchez has a new leading man in her life.
But even though she officially tied the knot with Jeff Bezos during their star-studded Italian wedding June 27, the former news anchor’s two sons still played a huge role in her special day.
Indeed, her boys Nikko, 24, and Evan, 19 – whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzales and ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, respectively – were right by her side as she walked down the aisle during the lavish ceremony, which was held on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
“Her two sons will walk her down the aisle,” Vogue’s Chloe Malle wrote after an interview with Sánchez published June 27, adding that the 55-year-old was “apologizing that she can’t help tearing up as she envisions it.”
Along with Gonzalez and Whitesell’s roles in their mom’s glamorous wedding, Sánchez’s 17-year-old daughter Ella, who she also shares with ex Whitesell, was her esteemed maid of honor. In fact, she delivered a heartfelt reading during the ceremony.

“Ella’s original,” Sánchez told the outlet ahead of her nuptials. “She beats to her own drum. She had never had a fitting before, and she loved it. She’s going to look amazing. It has been the most fun dressing all the kids.”
And to bear witness to the beautiful ceremony, just under 200 guests showed up in their best looks, including Orlando Bloom, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and many more.
While Sánchez and Bezos’ celebrations extended late into the night, the two – who confirmed their engagement in May 2023 – stepped out hours later for a private lunch at Harry’s bar, marking their first public appearance as husband and wife.
For the occasion, the Emmy-winning journalist donned a chic off-the-shoulder black dress and sun hat as she blew kisses to onlookers. Meanwhile, the Amazon founder kept it casual with a brown t-shirt and matching trousers.
After all, even when Sánchez was making history by launching into space alongside Katy Perry, Gayle King and more in Bezos’ Blue Origin Rocket Launch last month, she made it clear that spending time with her leading man is what she values most.
“All the love that was in that capsule, and all the heart and the feelings, and seeing Jeff before I left, I just,” she told Blue Origin at the West Texas launch site. “I had to come back. I mean, we’re getting married! If I didn’t come back that would be a bummer for me.”
