“Trash kingpin” Anthony Lomangino sold his oceanfront Palm Beach mansion for $38.8 million, three years after it hit the market.
Records show Lomangino sold the house at 1742 South Ocean Boulevard to a trust named for the address and managed by attorney David Klein. The true buyer is hidden.
Christian Angle with Christian Angle Real Estate had the listing, and Suzanne Frisbie with the Corcoran Group brought the buyer.
Lomangino is a waste management executive who the Florida Bulldog has called the “Palm Beach trash kingpin” for his involvement in multiple waste and recycling businesses in Florida, including Southern Waste Systems and LGL Recycling. President Donald Trump nominated Lomangino, a Mar-a-Lago member and major GOP donor, to the United States Postal Service board of trustees in May, Newsweek reported. Lomangino’s wife, Lynda Lomangino, was also tapped by Trump to serve on the board of the Kennedy Center, according to E&E News.
Lomangino bought the 0.6-acre property for $10 million in 2020, records show. He completed the six-bedroom mansion in 2024. It has seven bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and beach access, records and the listing show.
He listed it for $43.5 million in 2022, according to Zillow. He upped the asking price to $45 million this year.
With their duties in Washington, D.C., the Lomanginos are still staying local. Records show they have homesteaded a nearby oceanfront mansion at 1620 South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, which they bought for $12.7 million in 2019.
It marks the latest pricey sale in Palm Beach. Earlier this month, home improvement star Bob Vila and his wife sold their home for $33 million, marking a nearly $20 million price cut from its 2023 asking price. Another couple sold their island home in the Mar-a-Lago Security Zone for $17 million. Also this month, Lisa Hedley, the stepsister of former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, sold her waterfront house for $23.8 million.
