Looks like Jack Schlossberg won’t be tuning into “American Love Story.”

The grandson of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis shared his honest thoughts on the upcoming Ryan Murphy produced show, which will spotlight the romance between his late family members John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.

And it’s safe to say, the politics writer isn’t the biggest fan of the series, which is currently in production in New York City and set to premiere in February 2026.

“Lately, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., a great man,” Jack — who is son to Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg — said in a video posted to his Instagram Stories June 19. “For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with, the new shows being made about him, the answer is no.”

However, he noted that there’s “not much” his family can do about the show re-telling the tragic story of JFK Jr. and his wife, who both died in a private plane crash in 1998.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of John F. Kennedy, spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday.

“The right to privacy, which includes the ability to control your own name, image and likeness, doesn’t survive death in the state of New York,” Jack continued. “For that matter, he’s considered a public figure, so there’s not much we can do.”

And while the 32-year-old admitted he couldn’t speak to exactly how his family will be portrayed in the upcoming drama, he emphasized that the concept of producing the TV series in the first place doesn’t sit right with him.

“For the record, I think admiration for my Uncle John is great,” Jack said. “What I don’t think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way.”

Since the post, Murphy has not publicly addressed Jack’s criticism of “American Love Story.” However, the “American Horror Story” creator has responded to backlash over the costumes that the fictional Carolyn (played by Sarah Pidgeon) wore in several recent promotional photos.

“It’s very interesting that people become so inflammatory,” Murphy told Variety in an interview published June 19. “There were comments like, ‘I hate that coat, Carolyn would never have worn that.’ That was just a coat we threw on for color!”

Still, he empathized with people taking her styling very seriously, adding, “Carolyn Bessette is clearly a religious figure and it’s a religion of her own.”
