Movers & Shakers: Turnberry taps hospitality operations EVP

Turnberry brought in Mary Rogers as executive vice president of hospitality operations, according to a press release. In her new role, Rogers will lead all aspects of Aventura-based Turnberry’s hospitality operations, the release shows.

She comes to Turnberry from Montage International, where she was a managing director for the last three years, according to LinkedIn. Previously she was a vice president with Fontainebleau Miami Beach for 12 years.

Miami-based Norco Construction promoted Erik Rappel to chief operating officer, a press release shows. He was previously vice president of operations, and joined the firm as a senior project manager in 2017, according to the release. In his new role, Rappel will lead Norco’s expansion across Florida and the Northeast.

One Sotheby’s International Realty’s Katie Weisz joined Alba Palm Beach as sales director for the planned 55-unit luxury condo tower, the release shows. It marks the latest switch up in the sales team for the planned West Palm Beach project. Developer Kenneth Baboun’s BGI Capital brought in One Sotheby’s to replace Douglas Elliman last year.
