South Florida to see scattered showers Thursday as warm, breezy conditions continue across region



Grab your umbrella before you head out the door this morning as the NEXT Weather Team is tracking scattered showers for your Thursday across South Florida.

Scattered coastal showers will be possible in the morning for Broward and Miami-Dade counties, but rain chances push further inland for the afternoon.

A muggy morning will give way to another warm and breezy afternoon with highs around 80 degrees.

The breezy conditions will continue to keep a high rip current risk in place for the Atlantic coast today and will most likely continue heading into the weekend.

Small craft advisories are also in effect for both the Atlantic waters and the Florida Keys.

Mostly dry conditions return for Friday and Saturday with only a 20% chance for showers both days.

However, rain chances will once again be on the rise beginning Easter Sunday afternoon through the first half of next week.

Our most recent forecast calls for highs in the lower to mid-80s on Easter with a 30% chance for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Rain chances trend even higher through the first half of the upcoming workweek.
