Defede also talks with former Florida state Sen. Lauren Book about her organization “Lauren’s Kids,” which seeks to raise awareness and education about sexual abuse prevention. Book is currently on her annual walk across the state to benefit her passion project and talked with Defede about helping survivors heal and have their voices heard.
