A live‑TV slip from Craig Melvin left the “TODAY” studio buzzing Wednesday morning.
During the April 8 broadcast, the anchor unexpectedly revealed that Jenna Bush Hager will appear in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” a detail that clearly wasn’t meant to be shared just yet.
While the co-hosts were discussing the excitement around the upcoming sequel, Melvin casually dropped, “By the way, you know how that movie’s going to be good? You know how I can tell? JBH is in it!”
The camera immediately cut to Bush Hager, who stared back in disbelief, her mouth open as she tried to process what had just happened.
“I don’t know that you were supposed to drop that bomb, but if you’re …” she said, still stunned.
Savannah Guthrie, newly returned to the show after an extended absence following the disappearance of her mother, jumped in with a laugh: “This is live. You cannot tell Craig anything!”
