The Coral Springs Police Department is conducting a death investigation involving Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen, officials said Wednesday.
Authorities described the case as an active and ongoing investigation and have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
Chopper 4 was above the scene where the vice mayor is registered to have lived, where it looks like an active crime scene with police officers and crime scene tape around the home.
Police said they will provide an update during a press conference scheduled for 5:45 p.m. at Coral Springs City Hall.
Officials have not said when more information about the investigation will be released.
