Steamy Lit Bookstore, Alma Matcha, more | Fort Lauderdale
Thrive Arts District in Fort Lauderdale landed six tenants and a lease expansion.
Romance-only bookstore Steamy Lit Bookstore took 2,100 square feet; Pottery Studio 1 leased 1,200 square feet; and Dyer Design Glasswork took 772 square feet for an art studio and gallery, according to a news release from the broker’s landlord.
Also, C-Alma Wellness Lounge leased 1,700 square feet, where it plans a space for entrepreneurs and professionals to decompress. It will offer cold plunges, sauna, red light therapy, guided breathwork and cold-pressed juices.
On the office front, Omnia Construction will open a 1,300-square-foot headquarters, moving from 719 Northeast Second Avenue, also in Fort Lauderdale, according to landlord’s broker Kaley Tuning of Native Realty. Also, national commercial real estate capital adviser goKaizen leased 1,300 square feet, moving from a co-working space at 501 East Las Olas Boulevard, she said.
Alma Matcha expanded its space, adding 1,300 square feet for a total of 2,500 square feet, at Thrive Arts District, Tuning said.
The Thrive Arts District, a collection of galleries and artists studios in retrofitted warehouses, is considered a successor to Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village Arts District. Thrive was developed and is owned by brothers Jonathan and Abraham Fish.
Warby Parker | Palm Beach County
Eyewear store Warby Parker will open soon at Boynton Beach Marketplace, the tenant announced.
The shopping center is at 7375 West Boynton Beach Boulevard in unincorporated Palm Beach County.
Boca Raton-based investor Yevgeniy Yermakov, through an affiliate, owns the Whole Foods-anchored Boynton Beach Marketplace, having paid $49.3 million, or $712 per square foot, for it in 2024.
The square footage Warby Parker leased wasn’t provided.
Belamo | Coral Gables
Luxury outdoor furniture store Belamo is on tap at the Brookfield-owned Shops at Merrick Park.
Belamo leased 4,900 square feet at 358 San Lorenzo Avenue in Coral Gables, according to the tenant’s broker.
Mike Beckert and Chris Haass were part of the Cohen Commercial Realty team that represented Belamo. Michael Cohen of Brookfield Properties represented the landlord.
Reforming Pilates | Fort Lauderdale
Reforming Pilates will open a heated mat Pilates concept in Fort Lauderdale, near one of its existing studios.
Reforming Pilates leased 3,000 square feet for its RP Heat studio at 525 North Federal Highway, according to the tenant’s news release. It’s expected to open at the end of next month.
Founded by Genevieve and Daniel Ross in 2022, Reforming Pilates has outposts across South Florida and New York. This includes its Victoria Park outpost at 470 North Federal Highway, near where RP Heat will be.
The RP Heat site is within the 382-unit Manor at Flagler Village apartment development. An entity tied to social media personality Grant Cardone’s Aventura-based Cardone Capital owns Manor at Flagler Village, records show.
Chewy Vet Care, Sushi Sake, more | Boynton Beach
A pet clinic and restaurant are now open, while a sushi house also is on tap at a Boynton Beach retail plaza.
Already open at the Compson Place at Renaissance Commons are Chewy Vet Care, a 3,200-square-foot veterinary clinic from e-commerce pet supplies behemoth Chewy, and an 1,800-square-foot fast-casual restaurant Field of Greens, according to a Compson Place news release. On tap in late spring is Sushi Sake, which leased 3,000 square feet.
Compson Place is at 1880 North Congress Avenue.
