Love was in the air at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics — and Taylor Swift was ready for it.
After Olympic skier Breezy Johnson got engaged in a swoon-worthy moment at the Winter Games, the pop superstar couldn’t resist responding.
Johnson’s fiancé, Connor Watkins, proposed at the finish line of the women’s super-G race on Thursday in Cortina D’Ampezzo. In front of fans and spectators, he popped the question with a ring box engraved with the final line of the chorus from Swift’s song “The Alchemy” off her 2024 album, “The Tortured Poets Department”: “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”
Johnson later shared photos of the emotional moment on Instagram, writing, “hey guys. meet my ex-boyfriend and current fiancé. Thank you to everyone that made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of.”
Swift saw the post and joined in on the fun, commenting with another lyric: ‘”Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me’ CONGRATULATIONS!!!” Her enthusiastic response quickly racked up more than 100,000 likes and hundreds of replies.
Johnson even responded to the singer, joking, “I don’t know what’s better Olympic gold or this comment. Sourdough engagement gift please???? 😭 would love to teach you to ski.”

Gold medal and a ring? Not a bad Olympic run for Johnson.
