Jills put jewels in Compass’ South Florida crown as Coldwell’s No. 1 team

Coldwell Banker Realty again named Miami’s Jills Zeder Group its top team in the nation, with $1.9 billion in sales last year.

The team, led by Jill Hertzberg, Jill Eber and Judy Zeder has been the big dog Coldwell team nationally for seven years running now. Since the Compass-Anywhere Real Estate merger, the group is now Robert Reffkin’s crown jewel in the South Florida market.

The Jills far outpaced Compass’ other top teams with $1.4 billion in on-market sales, The Real Deal’s 2025 Miami-Dade County broker ranking found. The group out-performed the highest ranking Compass teams, including Chad Carroll’s the Carroll Group’s $544.9 million in on-market sales and Riley Smith’s namesake team’s with $297 million.

Compass cemented its position as the dominant brokerage in Miami-Dade County with the acquisition. Compass and Anywhere agents account for about half of the top 25 agents in the county, and their combined brands closed $9.5 billion in on-market sales tracked in TRD’s 2025 ranking.

With the Jills, Compass is acquiring not just the top team of the moment but a dynasty rearing the next generation of Miami’s elite brokers. Also on the team are Hertzberg’s children Danny Hertzberg and Hillary Hertzberg Benson and Zeder’s son Nathan Zeder and daughter-in-law Meredeth Zeder.

The multi-generational group has built a business catering to the absolute upper echelons of the market, a strategy bolstered by the transformative wealth migration since the pandemic.

The Jills represented the seller of the estate known as Banyan Ridge, at 3585 Anchorage Way in Coconut Grove, which Google co-founder Larry Page bought in December for $101.5 million.

They also have the $200 million listing for Dr. Aaron Rollins’ Indian Creek Island spec estate. It is one of the most expensive real estate listings in the country and could set a record for Miami-Dade County sales if it sells at or near that price.
