All the Boston icons (and free coffee) in the new Dunkin' Super Bowl ad

Every year, the Dunkin’ Super Bowl ad pays tribute to its native Boston — and this year’s may have topped them all.

Ben Affleck returned, trading the “DunKings” theme in from the last few years for sitcoms, plus his hit movie “Good Will Hunting.” In it, Affleck takes the place of longtime friend and Cambridge high school classmate Matt Damon as a blue collar genius from Boston who can use his smarts to make a better life for himself.

While Damon wasn’t in the commercial, he’s joined by a slew of other 90s sitcom stars, including Ted Danson back in his role as Sam Malone from “Cheers.”

All the Boston references in ‘Good Will Dunkin”

Ben Affleck: Plenty of celebrities represent Boston in commercials, but none more than Affleck, who’s made a side career out of it.

“That’s gonna be Top 10!” We asked Dunkin’ patrons at a Dedham location what they thought about the new Ben Affleck-Matt Damon-Tom Brady musical super group unveiled in a new Super Bowl ad, and it’s safe to say that the DunKings have some fans in Boston.

“Good Will Hunting”: The 1997 movie, which Affleck and Damon wrote as well as starred in, shot the pair to fame, and turned the line “How do you like them apples?” into an instantly recognizable way to represent Boston — Jennifer Aniston (more on her later) made a play on it at the end of the new commercial, when she brought out…

Tom Brady: The Patriots legend — who eventually showed support for New England in this Super Bowl, after some backlash — is the last person to appear in the commercial, popping up as Aniston’s new boyfriend, as the actress barks, “How do you like these (dough)nuts?”

“Cheers”: The first mega-hit 90s sitcom is, of course, set in the Boston bar where everybody knows your name, and shot Danson to stardom.

Matt LeBlanc: The “Friends” star is from Newton!

Jasmine Guy: And the “A Different World” star is from Boston!

Did you mention free coffee?

Ah yes! In keeping with the 90s theme, which Dunkin’ chose because it first started advertising its now-famous iced coffee in 1995, the chain says it’s offering 1.995 million free iced coffees on Monday, the day after the Super Bowl.

To get one, use the code GOODWILLDUNKIN when ordering in Dunkin’s app.

And there’s a way to win much more free coffee, by channeling your inner Will Hunting and solving a real math problem posed by a real MIT professor, John Urschel, who played three years for the Baltimore Ravens.
