The woman found dead in the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel has been identified as Victoria Jones, daughter of Academy Award-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, the San Francisco Medical Examiner confirmed Friday.
A police source with direct knowledge of the investigation told NBC Bay Area on Thursday that police did not suspect foul play in the women’s death. The police source said Victoria Jones was found in a hallway of the Fairmont Hotel.
On Friday, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Victoria Jones’ death and added her legal, living relatives have been notified.
The Fairmont Hotel provided the following statement on Friday:
“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”
Jones’ family also provided the following statement:
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.
Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.
