South Florida’s top deals: Retired NASCAR racer Brian Vickers sheds Miami Beach pad for $6M



🏆 Residential: The most expensive home sale recorded in South Florida was in Boca Raton, where a waterfront, single-family home at 368 South Maya Palm Drive changed hands for $9.2 million. The seller was a trust tied to Gerard Reidel, and the buyer was a trust tied to Gary Kain. The home was built in the 1960s and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms across 2,300 square feet. The deal works out to about $4,000 per square foot. The home went on the market in November for $10.3 million. David W. Roberts with Royal Palm Properties brokered the transaction.

🏆 Commercial: The priciest commercial deal recorded in South Florida was in Miami, where a medical office building at 2901 Northwest 17th Avenue traded for $5.6 million. The seller was an LLC, tied to Jose A. Barrios, Jr., which had owned the building for decades, and the buyer was an LLC managed by Carlos Garcia. The one-story property measures about 11,000 square feet. The transaction works out to about $510 per square foot. 

📊 Residential: For just under $9 million, Donald and Julie Uderitz — he is a financier and she is a certified breathwork facilitator — scooped up a home at 1202 Vista Del Mar Drive North in Delray Beach. The seller was an LLC tied to Michael Stamm of Stamm Development Group. The five-bedroom home, built in 2024, spans 6,300 square feet, pricing the transaction at about $1,400 per square foot. The residence also has six full bathrooms, two half baths and a pool. Candace Friis with the Corcoran Group had the listing, and the Pascal Liguori Estate Group  with Premier Estate Properties brought the buyers.

The seller was retired NASCAR driver Brian Vickers, who purchased the unit in 2021 for $6.3 million, and the buyer was Lawrence Cook. The deal works out to about $3,000 per square foot. Spanning more than 1,900 square feet, the pad has two bedrooms and two and a half baths. Vickers put it on the market in December 2024 for just under $8 million. Jonathan Corso with Coldwell Banker Realty represented the seller and Anca Mirescu, with Douglas Elliman, represented the buyer.
