For Miley Cyrus, a return to acting wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Indeed, nearly six years after appearing in a 2019 episode of “Black Mirror,” the “Flowers” singer recently detailed what it would take for her to return to the silver screen.
“If the opportunity or the script or the character was right or designed in a way that it would make sense,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the 37th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Jan. 3 “I’m totally there.”
And Cyrus — who received the Outstanding Artistic Achievement award for her “Avatar: Fire and Ash” song “Dream As One” at the ceremony — also shared her emotional response to her 2026 Golden Globes nomination for the same track.
“It’s just all really exciting for me,” she continued. “Everything that I could have dreamed is a reality and so everyday I’m grateful.”
At the event, the 33-year-old teased plans for another special project with her recent blonde hair transformation: the “Hannah Montana” 20th anniversary, which will take place in March. Indeed, the Disney Channel alum kissed her signature brunette waves goodbye for a Hannah-inspired hairdo featuring the character’s iconic bangs.

And Hannah has certainly been on her mind as of late. In fact, Cyrus — who confirmed her engagement to fiancé Maxx Morando in December — recently shared her perspective on possibly rebooting the character for a new generation.
“I don’t know if there is a new Hannah,” she admitted when asked about recasting the role for a reboot by Billboard in a Dec. 3 interview. “This is the only Hannah.”
Though she hasn’t revealed what a celebration of the show’s legacy would look like, the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker did share how meaningful the anniversary will be for both herself and fans.
“For me, I love looking back at the growth for both of us because it’s very rare that someone grows up with their fanbase,” she explained. “When I was 15 years old, I’d look out and see 15-year-olds and now I’m a grown woman, I look out and see other grown people. So, what I want to do is honor the longevity of the relationship that we built.”
