Massive sinkhole opens near BSO headquarters after truck hits hydrant

A six-foot-wide sinkhole swallowed part of the road outside Broward Sheriff’s Office near Fort Lauderdale after a construction truck struck a fire hydrant, flooding the street and causing the collapse. Emergency crews sprang into action, shutting off water and closing the area for repairs.
