Cher knows Kristen Bell is in a good place thanks to Dax Shepard.
So, while the “Believe” singer isn’t the biggest fan of her “Burlesque” costar’s husband, she’s happy that Bell found her happy ending.
“Who would be your dream partner for her?” Shepard asked Cher on the Jan. 5 episode of his “Armchair Expert” podcast with Bell. “‘Cause I know you think she could be better, and I don’t disagree.”
Although Cher didn’t dispute what Shepard — who shares daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11, with Bell — said, she explained why she’s glad to see them together.
“The truth is, I trust her,” the Grammy winner said of the “Nobody Wants This” actress. “So, you must have something that I don’t see.”
Cher — who debuted her relationship with Alexander “AE” Edwards in 2022 — also added, “And you seem like a good dad.”
Shepard, 51, was determined to get on Cher’s good side, however, sharing one of his best qualities. As he put it, “I’m not threatened by her shining. I love it. The shinier she gets, the better.”
“They are not nice people…” Adam Scott jokes that his friends Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell leave him “borderline abusive” voice memos about “Severance,” and Kelly Clarkson can’t stop laughing while listening to them.

Meanwhile, Bell was sure to praise her husband of 12 years.
“There’s a lot to this man,” she told the 79-year-old. “Trust me, he’s a slow burn, but you’re gonna learn to love him. He’s almost too good for me.”
In fact, she described the comedian as the kind of guy who “polishes you so you shine more.”
For Bell and Shepard, their marriage has continued to thrive by embracing each other’s ups and downs.
“I don’t like the idea that you’re looking for your perfect puzzle piece because you also have to become a puzzle piece that fits with someone else,” Bell, 45, said on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” in October. “So if you find two people that are like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to make this work and that means we’re going to compromise constantly and those compromises should work well for both of us.'”
“And sometimes it’s going to ebb and sometimes it’s going to flow, but we’re not going to have checks and balances, because we’re going to realize it’s not me against you, it’s us against the world,” she continued. “I am glad I chose my husband because he has a commitment to growth at all times.”
