An investigation is underway in Opa-locka after police said two juveniles were shot early Tuesday morning.
Police said officers “swiftly responded” to reports of gunfire at The Mirage at Sailboat Cove, a gated community in Opa-Locka, and when they arrived, they found the two juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds.
Those victims, who haven’t been identified, were airlifted to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
Police said that “several” individuals who were attempting to flee the scene were detained, and police were able to quickly recover multiple weapons from a vehicle that was possibly associated with the incident.
Police said the Criminal Investigation Divisions was actively investigating the shooting.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to reach out to the Opa-locka Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
