Even stranger things than monsters are being found in the town of Hawkins.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a hilarious editing error in episode two of “Stranger Things” season five, in which Will (played by Noah Schnapp) and Robin (Maya Hawke) go on a mission to find the exact place where he last had a vision from Vecna.

In the clip, posted to TikTok Dec. 4, Will and Robin walk through a neighborhood park in the dark while holding flashlights. And as they approach the spot where Will saw through Vecna’s eyes, an X mark made of orange tape and one made of blue tape can be spotted on the ground in front of them, likely indicating where the actors should stand.

Alongside a crying emoji, the TikTok user captioned the video, “Oh no not the orange and blue electrical tape scene markers.”

But viewers weren’t upset to discover the tiny editing error. In fact, some noted that the mishap served as an important reminder.

“I actually like catching little details like this to remind myself it’s a show,” one user commented under the clip, while another joked, “I just know someone out there is making an entire theory about those pieces of spike tape.”

Others pointed out that spotting tape in the corner of the frame was a minor blunder compared to editing errors in other shows, like when fans noticed a forgotten Starbucks cup in the background of a scene from season eight of Game of Thrones.

As one user put it, “At least it’s not like when Game of Thrones left a Starbucks cup on the table.”

Indeed, production mistakes are far from unusual in TV shows. After all, viewers spotted another continuity error in “Stranger Things” season five earlier this week.

As for what the show got mixed up that time? During one flashback scene in volume one, Will and his older brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) happily build a fort in the woods named Castle Byers — a pivotal location in the debut season — while it’s sunny outside.

However, the memory is noticeably different from Jonathan’s recollection of the events as told in season one.

“Do you remember the day Dad left? We stayed up all night, building Castle Byers, just the way you drew it,” Jonathan said to Will in the 2016 episode. “And it took so long, because you were so bad at hammering. You’d miss the nail every time.”

He added, “And then it started raining, but we stayed out there anyway. We were both sick for like a week after that. But we just had to finish it, didn’t we? We just had to.”

Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin on the hit Netflix show “Stranger Things”, was introduced to a one-year-old boy who was named after him.
