Jimmy Fowlie is seeking assistance amid a family crisis.
The Saturday Night Live writer asked his social media followers for help locating his sister, Christina Downer, after she was last heard from in late November.
“My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe,” he wrote in a post on Instagram Dec. 22 alongside her missing person’s report. “Her married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie.”
The 40-year-old—who has also acted in comedy series including The Comeback, The Other Two and English Teacher—noted that Christina, 38, was last seen in Los Angeles as he urged anyone with intel related to her whereabouts to come forward.
“Please share this,” he continued, “so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police.”
The missing person’s report, issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, listed Christina as having brown hair and brown eyes, She stands at 5-foot-1 and weighs 120 lbs.

Several members of Jimmy’s inner circle answered the call to action, including his SNL colleagues Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman, who helped spread the word by sharing his post in their Instagram Stories.
Jimmy first joined the NBC sketch series’ writing team in 2022 ahead of the show’s 48th season. He went on to help scribe well-known pieces, including the viral “Domingo” sketch featuring cast member Marcello Hernández and guest host Ariana Grande, which aired in October 2024.
Outside of TV, the Emmy winner co-wrote and performed the one-woman play So Long Boulder City, a satirical version of the one-woman show written and performed by Emma Stone’s character Mia Dolan in the 2016 movie musical La La Land. He has also written and appeared in several web series, including Go-Go Boy Interrupted, which earned a Queerty Award for Best Web Series in 2017.
