Pamela Anderson breaks silence on Liam Neeson romance

This is the naked truth.

While the “Naked Gun” costars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson’s offscreen chemistry sparked romance rumors, the pair kept quiet on whether their apparent connection had truly translated into something more — until now.

“If you must know,” Anderson revealed in an interview with People published Dec. 9, “Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming.”

She explained that the pair spent an “intimate week” together at his upstate New York home, though she clarified, “I had my own room. Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”

During their “lost week,” as “The Last Showgirl” star called it, the pair dined out together — where Liam introduced her as the “future Mrs. Neeson” — worked in his garden and were even visited by a bear as they ate breakfast together, one which Anderson said Neeson chased away while still in his bathrobe.

“We were having fun,” she said, adding it felt “a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film. I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’”

After their week together, however, Anderson said they both then went their separate ways to work on different projects.

“I adore Liam,” the 58-year-old said. “But we are better friends, in full honesty. He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me. I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”

But while Neeson — who is dad to kids Daniel Neeson, 29, and Micheál Richardson, 30, with his late wife Natasha Richardson — has remained tight-lipped about the rumors swirling between him and Pamela, this is not the first time the latter has slammed the suggestion she and the Taken actor, 73, played up their chemistry in order to promote their movie.

“I do not and will never feed into PR stunts,” she said onstage at the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Sept. 5, per People. “That would be a death sentence. I’m authentically driven. I’m superstitious when it comes to love. And I’m not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life.”

After all, Anderson knows she is likely to fall into this exact scenario again in the future as she takes on more onscreen roles.

“I know I’ll fall in love again and again onscreen,” she continued. “That is my job. If we do it well, you will feel it, a kind of projection. It is the greatest compliment. So please think positive. And I appreciate your good wishes. There are no silly games being played. I’m sincere.”
