Movers & Shakers: Compass lands 78-agent team in Boca Raton

As buying season ramps up, South Florida’s real estate firms are hiring key talent.

Compass brought in the Champagne & Parisi Team, a 78-agent team, in its Boca Raton office, according to a news release. Formerly Champagne & Parisi Real Estate, the team was founded by Claude Champagne and Caesar Parisi in 2011. It focuses on luxury markets in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Highland Beach and Boynton Beach.

Compass’ acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate for $1.6 billion shook up the business this year, and Compass’ growth on the local level hasn’t slowed. In July, it added the 40-agent Korman Group in Boca Raton, and in September, Compass added a 15-agent team in Stuart.

In other news: KW Property Management & Consulting hired Jennifer Santaniello as regional vice president, specializing in the firm’s Palm Beach County portfolio, according to a news release. She will be focused on maximizing property values for condo and HOA properties. She previously worked with FirstService Residential, where she was vice president of the Manhattan condo and co-op division.

KWPMC was selected as the property manager for the recently completed Forté on Flagler in West Palm Beach. Two Roads Development and Alpha Blue Ventures’ 25-story, 40-unit condominium began closings earlier this summer, and buyers include Fox News contributor Liz Peek, New York Times heiress Cynthia Sulzberger and former president and CEO of Sotheby’s Holdings Michael Ainslie.

Sweden-based Odevo acquired KWPMC from its founder Paul Kaplan in 2022, and named him CEO of Odevo U.S. last year. In February, Odevo named Katalina Cruz as CEO of KWPMC and senior vice president of Odevo U.S. and promoted Jorge Lago to president and chief operating officer of KWPMC.

Also: Illustrated Properties tapped Shane McCain as director of commercial real estate, according to a news release. McCain founded BluEdge Professional Real Estate, a Palm Beach Gardens-based commercial brokerage firm. He’s bringing seven associates from BluEdge, who will be based in Illustrated’s corporate headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens.
