Luis Fonsi to headline Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve at Walt Disney World

The holidays at Walt Disney World are getting a star-powered boost.

Latin music superstar Luis Fonsi has been announced as a celebrity narrator for the beloved Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, performing on December 23 and December 24 as part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Fonsi will narrate the traditional Christmas story during three nightly performances at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. at the America Gardens Theatre. The announcement was made December 17.

“I’m super happy that this year I’ll be narrating the story of Christmas in the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT this 23rd and 24th of December,” Fonsi said in a video announcement. “So I hope to see you all there! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.”

The Candlelight Processional is one of EPCOT’s most cherished holiday traditions, featuring a celebrity narrator joined by a massed choir, a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets and the Voices of Liberty. Together, they bring the stirring story of Christmas to life in a moving, music-filled performance that draws guests year after year.

Fonsi shot to international superstardom with his 2017 smash hit “Despacito,” which topped charts worldwide and became one of the most-viewed music videos of all time. The song cemented his status as a global Latin pop icon known for blending romantic ballads with crossover pop hits.

His appearance adds extra excitement to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which runs now through December 30, 2025, transforming the park with seasonal entertainment, global holiday traditions and festive food offerings.

With his unmistakable voice and emotional storytelling, Fonsi is expected to bring warmth, music and Christmas spirit to the iconic event, making his Christmas Eve performances a standout holiday moment for Disney and music fans alike.
