Police are investigating an area near Plantation Middle School after reports of a shooting.
Plantation police first posted about the possible shooting just before 3 p.m. on Monday. One person was taken to a local hospital, police said. Their condition and injuries were unclear.
Plantation Middle School was shut down as a precaution, but police said there was no threat to the school. NW 70th Ave is also closed from NW 11th Place to NW 16th Street.
Around 3:30 p.m., the scene was secured, police said.
