Rust could never grow between telephones where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are concerned.
After all, “The Life of a Showgirl” singer included a sweet cell phone conversation between her and her fiancé in the Nov. 13 trailer for “The End of an Era” Disney+ six-part documentary.
In the clip, Swift holds up her iPhone on speaker as she tells Kelce over the phone, “We basically have the same job.”
To which Kelce agrees, adding, “You’ve got teammates, I’ve got teammates.”
And Swift jokingly pokes fun at her relationship with Andrea Swift, comparing it to Kelce’s with Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, remarking, “You’ve got Coach Reid, I’ve got my mom.”
Of course, Swift’s mom is certainly always on her team — especially when it comes to her relationship with Kelce. As Andrea noted elsewhere in the documentary of Swift’s romance, which began during her record-breaking Eras tour, “Travis Kelce brings a lot of happiness.”

Kelce and Swift’s adorable phone call isn’t the only place the Kansas City Chiefs tight end makes an appearance in the newest trailer. He is also shown waiting for Swift under the stage after her final performance of the “Eras Tour” show, shouting, “Tay Tay!”
From there, Swift appears in one of her signature blue “Midnights” act bodysuits and plants a kiss on the NFL star before they ride a dolly backstage together.
Naturally, Swift also pledged plenty of allegiance to Kelce’s team throughout the trailer, too. The 35-year-old was seen sporting several different Chiefs merchandise throughout the new clips, including one that shows her watching a game backstage.
Although Swift has been forward with the anxiety her fame brought to her past romances, she has also emphasized that there is no need to knock on wood when it comes to putting her relationship with Kelce in the spotlight.
Indeed, Swift noted that Kelce, 36, finding online speculation and discourse “hilarious” helped her feel more comfortable and secure in their romance.
“If he’s seeing things, and he thinks it’s funny, and it doesn’t even affect his day at all, that’s really completely bled into the way that I metabolize these things,” Swift explained during her August appearance on his and Jason Kelce’s podcast “New Heights.” “It’s at a point where something can be about me, my name can be in the actual headline and it can still be none of my business.”
Meanwhile, Kelce is just following Swift’s lead.
“The last thing I wanted to do was screw this up,” he added at the time. “So, her being so calm, cool and collected and so real and understanding about everything that’s going on really made me grow up real fast.”
