Starbucks customers are already clawing at the chance to score the brand’s new bear-shaped drinking vessel.
On Nov. 6, the coffee giant will officially launch its holiday menu and seasonal cups at stores nationwide, and in addition to the return of the Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte, festive drinkware and gifts will drop in its cafes.
There are glossy tumblers, pleated mugs and coffee-themed ornaments, but one item has really gotten the internet talking: the Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup.
The 20-ounce cup costs $29.95 and is shaped like a classic teddy bear wearing a Starbucks green knitted beanie. It promises to bring “instant joy to every sip.” The chain revved up anticipation for the cup with a Nov. 5 Instagram post showing a non-ursid barista making a handcrafted beverage in the critter-shaped container.
People all over the internet — and not just in Starbucks’ comments section — are now scrambling to get their paws on the limited-time item.
Seasonal beverages and bakery products will be available in Starbucks coffeehouses on Nov. 6.
“I’m paws-itive this bear cup is the best thing since sliced bread,” wrote one Facebook user.
“This is the CUTEST cup I’ll ever own!!!!!,” wrote an Instagram user.
“I hate coffee but I’d get a coffee just for this,” wrote another Instagram user, to whom Starbucks replied, “Hello, great news, you do not have to like Coffee to purchase the new Bearista Cup!”
“I will fight you for it, okay?” said one adamant TikToker, who added he already contacted his local shop to make sure it saves one for him. “You think I am not prepped and ready for this?”
Even though the cup hasn’t even been released yet, it’s already been spotted on resale sites like eBay, where one cup is going for over $90 with 30-plus bids, as well as Mercari, where cups are being sold for as high as $139.
If you’re unsuccessful in your quest to own what may be this year’s Starbucks Pink Stanley Cup, the coffee giant is dropping plenty more merch on Nov. 6, including its collaboration with the human-that-looks-like-a-cat herself, Hello Kitty.
And Nov. 13 will mark the return of Red Cup Day, when customers who purchase a handcrafted holiday beverage of any size will receive an additional grande-sized reusable red holiday cup.
The 2025 Starbucks holiday cups feature traditional winter patterns.
