Seth Meyers' interview with his 3 kids proves he may not be the funniest one in the family

Seth Meyers turned the Thanksgiving episode of his late-night talk show into a fun family affair.

The “Late Night with Seth Meyers” host, 51, invited multiple members of the Meyers clan to chat with him in the studio. But it was his three kids — sons Ashe, 9, and Axel, 7, and daughter Adelaide, 4 — who stole the show.

Meyers, who shares his kids with wife Alexi Ashe, explained that he brought his sons and daughter to the studio to shoot a photo for the family’s annual Christmas card. Afterward, in a surprise twist, he sat them on the couch where crew members “put mics on them” for an impromptu interview in front of his studio audience.

Meyers then aired the video of his chat with his kids, which kicked off with an easy question that quickly went off the rails.

“Ashe, what did you guys dress up like this year? It’s always a themed photo,” Meyers asked his older son.

“We were ‘Elf,'” Ashe responded.

“From the movie ‘Elf?'” his dad prompted.

“And I was alphabet,” Adelaide chimed in.

“You were Alphabet?” Meyers asked his daughter.

“No she wasn’t,” Axel interjected, adding, “I was ‘Elf.'”

As Adelaide continued insisting she was “Alphabet,” Ashe revealed he dressed as Mr. Narwhal from “Elf.”

“What was Addie really?” Meyers asked in a stage whisper to his sons.

“She was, like, my girlfriend. Remember in the movie?” Axel said, apparently referring to Josie, Buddy the Elf’s girlfriend played by Zooey Deschanel in the 2003 holiday classic.

“And Agnes was a tomato!” Adelaide shouted.

“Oh OK. I gotcha. Your cousin Agnes was a tomato? That’s great,” Meyers responded with a side-eye to the audience.

Adelaide continued putting her own hilarious spin on her dad’s question. When Meyers asked his kids how they traveled to the studio, Ashe and Axel said they arrived in a car. But not Adelaide.

The 4-year-old explained she took the subway by herself, which prompted laughter from the audience and her dad.

“Addie, did you like the subway?” Meyers asked.

“Yeah, the subway smelled like diarrhea,” his little girl replied.

Next, Meyers asked his sons to re-live what caused a fight to break out between them when they attended a recent Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Ashe explained his little brother “smacked” him in the face with a towel. “So then I punched him here,” he said aiming his fist at Axel’s cheek.

Axel then leapt in front of Ashe with his fists up to show how he responded by pummeling his brother, but Meyers shut him down saying, “No! No!”

Meyers then got Adelaide talking about her brothers’ best attributes before asking if she loved them.

“I love this one,” she said, embracing Ashe. “But not that one!” she added, poking Axel, who rubbed his cheeks to mime crying.

After the kids talked a bit about school, “Peppa Pig” and took a couple dance breaks, Meyers thanked them for stopping by.

“Is my time over?” Axel yelled.

“It’s running out, yeah,” Meyers replied.

Adelaide concluded by leading her brothers into chants of “No! No! No!” directly into their clip-on microphones before all three kids fell to the ground laughing.
