Britney Spears is taking time away from social media.
The “Gimme More” singer has deleted her Instagram account following several eyebrow-raising posts about her health, as well as her and ex-husband Kevin Federline’s sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
Among Spears’ most recent Instagram posts was one in which she seemingly reflected on the toll of her 2018 rehab stay while under her 13-year conservatorship.
In the now-deleted Oct. 19 post, she shared insight into a “traumatic experience,” per People, where she said “for 4 months I no longer had my private door and illegally was forced to not use my feet or body to go anywhere.”
“For a person like me who understands the sacredness is god speed … it did more than hurt my body,” she wrote. “I do feel the logic and mindfulness in my body as ONE was 100 percent murdered and destroyed … I do feel like my wings were taken away and brain damage happened to me a long time ago 100 percent.”
E! News reached out to Spears’ rep for comment.

Meanwhile, Spears — whose conservatorship under dad Jamie Spears ended in 2021— also shared cryptic posts on other social media accounts. One week earlier, the 43-year-old shared a TikTok video of herself dancing and drinking from a teacup in a plaid mini skirt and crop top.
“My kids have known me as Saint Mother Theresa , for 15 years mom was the sister,” she captioned the Oct. 23 video. “I’m the daughter you’re the parent !!! Get it straight teacher … can I come to your class mamma I have my schoolgirl outfit on … let’s go shopping first thing.”
And earlier last month, she addressed her wearing bandages around her wrists and leg, which she said was due to a simple mishap after her sons went back to Hawaii, where they live with Federline, 47, and his wife Victoria Prince.
“My boys had to leave and go back to Maui,” she explained in the Oct. 7 caption. “This is the way I express myself and pray through art … father who art in heaven … I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better … and I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day !!!”
As for why she had bandages on, Spears added, “Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house. It was horrible.”
Spears’ flurry of posts came amid the rollout of Federline’s tell-all memoir “You Thought You Knew,” in which the dancer, among other things, detailed his ex’s allegedly strained relationship with their kids. Following the book’s release, Spears slammed Federline’s allegations.
“The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” Spears replied on X Oct. 15. “I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.”
She alleged that one of their sons has only seen her for 45 minutes in the past five years, while the other has only visited her four times.
“I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here,” she added. “I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”
