Ariana Grande’s has a not-so thrillifying health update.
The Oscar nominee admitted her New York City press tour for “Wicked: For Good” hit a bit of a snag as she shared that she caught COVID-19.
Alongside a black and white photo showing off her impressive wand twirling skills during her Nov. 18 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Grande wrote on her Instagram Story Nov. 20, “moments before covid.”
But amid her health news Grande has looked back at her time in the Big Apple with castmates Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang and Ethan Slater as well has friends and family. In a Nov. 19 photo carousel, the “We Can’t Be Friends” singer shared additional black and white shots of her posing with director Jon M. Chu, arriving to the film’s premiere and her dogs.
And she’s also reminisced about their time on set, with her recalling the mishap she had with her wand while filming one of Glinda’s scenes.

“It got caught in my wig a few times,” she quipped to Jimmy Fallon during her appearance on the late-night show. “That was quite a reset.”
Indeed, Grande proved that she didn’t lose her skills, three and a half years after filming the movie, as she stunned Jimmy and the audience with a brief recreation of Glinda’s wand handling skills.
And while she is set to bring Glinda’s chapter to a close, Grande recently shared the importance of making the fans happy with the film’s final installment.
“It’s been such an incredible ride and an incredible experience to create with people we love so much and respect so much creatively, but also who just have such great hearts,” the 32-year-old told E! News’ Justin Sylvester during a joint interview with Erivo, during the film’s premiere in NYC on Nov. 17, adding that she’s also excited for fans to “finally be able to get the full story” and the “full arc of these women that we love so much and have spent these years with.”
“It’s almost five years that we’ve spent with them,” she continued. “So, for them to finally be getting the full picture and to know the secrets we’ve known all along is very exciting.”
Ariana Grande is using her powers “For Good.” The “Wicked” star sent 9-year-old influencer and Ari superfan Brielle Bird a special care package amid her Stage 4 cancer battle.
