Quinton Aaron is kicking off another point in his health journey.

“The Blind Side” star, who played NFL star Michael Oher in the 2009 biopic, shared that he’d achieved a major feat on his weight loss journey, revealing his significantly slimmer appearance.

“I am overwhelmed and blessed to announce that I have reached another cool Milestone in my life,” he wrote in a post on Instagram Oct. 12. “Today when weighing myself, I noticed that I reached the 200 pound marker. As in, from my heaviest weight of 575lbs until this morning 375lbs I’m down 200lbs. I know right, AMAZING!!!”

Alongside the message, Aaron, 41, highlighted his physical transformation by sharing a photo of himself on a red carpet in January 2012 side-by-side with a more recent snap, adding that he was still working towards his goal weight.

“I have 55 more pounds to go to reach my over all goal of 320lbs,” he continued. “I GOT THIS!!!”

After struggling with his weight for years, Aaron shared that he had shed nearly 100 pounds in February 2022, telling TMZ at the time that he had traded candy bars and bread for a keto diet consisting of high-fat, low-carb foods. The actor also credited walking, stretching exercises and fasting for his healthier lifestyle.

Last month, Aaron shared further insight into his transformation as he discussed his struggles with binge eating.

“Food was my drug,” he said on the Recovery Vow podcast in September. “I was eating when I wasn’t even hungry. Just going out and buying food and sitting in my car in the parking lot, eating it and crying and not knowing why. I’m like, ‘Why do I feel this way?’”

Still, Aaron has embraced the idea that progress isn’t linear.

“This has been such a journey,” he wrote on Instagram Sept. 23, “but I am so proud of myself for sticking to it and getting this weight off.”

The former NFL star alleges that the couple who took him in as a teenager placed him in a conservatorship.
