The show goes on for Taylor Swift.
Just weeks after dropping her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” the singer announced a new docuseries and extended concert film coming later this year.
“The End of an Era,” a six-part docuseries, and “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” will both come to Disney+ in December.
The first two episodes of the docuseries and the concert film will premiere on Friday, Dec. 12 (12/12), which comes after the release of her 12th studio album. Two more episodes of the docuseries will premiere on Dec. 19 and the last two episodes will be released on Dec. 26.
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
Disney+ said in a press release that the docuseries chronicles “the development, impact and inner-workings that created the phenomenon that was The Eras Tour.” It will also offer an “intimate look” at Swift’s life as she toured five continents in two years.
Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch are among the fellow performers, family members and friends who will appear in the docuseries, Disney+ said.
“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” will take viewers behind the scenes from Vancouver, which was Swift’s final stop on the record-breaking Eras Tour. It features her “The Tortured Poets Department” set, which was added to the tour after the album was released in April 2024.
Swift’s first “Eras Tour” concert film originally premiered in theaters in October 2023 before later heading to Disney+. She also had a special “Life of a Showgirl” event in theaters earlier this month in conjunction with the album’s release on Oct. 3.
Taylor Swift always knows how to keep her Swifties on their toes. The pop icon revealed on her website that she has a new album coming out called, “The Life Of A Showgirl.”
