Starbucks revealed some news devoted fans have long been waiting for on Monday.
The coffee giant’s fan-favorite Red Cup Day will return on Nov. 13, Starbucks shared in an Instagram post. As part of the day-long promotion, customers who order a handcrafted holiday beverage will receive a reusable red holiday cup.
Red Cup Day is typically one of the chain’s busiest days on the calendar – if not the busiest – and in past years, has seen long lines and cups selling out in just minutes. It’s important to note that not all locations participate, and supplies are limited.
The promotion will take place one week after the rollout of Starbucks’ holiday menu, which debuts Nov. 6. This year’s holiday drink lineup includes six beverages: Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte, Iced Gingerbread Chai, Chestnut Praline Latte and the Eggnog Latte.
The drinks can be made hot, iced or as a Frappuccino.
Starbucks’ bakery case will feature holiday staples, too, including its popular Snowman Cookie, Cranberry Bliss Bar and Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. Two food items will be new this year – the Polar Bear Cake Pop and Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread.
Also debuting for the holidays will be a special whole bean coffee lineup, which consists of the chain’s Thanksgiving Blend, Christmas Blend, Christmas Blonde Roast and Holiday Blend.
But for those looking to get a taste of the holidays sooner rather than later, some options are available now. Seasonal flavors, such as Peppermint Mocha and Hazelnut Cocoa, can be purchased in stores already.
