Music icon Gloria Estefan was honored at a street renaming ceremony on Miami Beach on Monday.
A stretch of 13th Street was renamed Gloria Estefan Way to pay tribute to the eight-time Grammy winner.
Estefan was accompanied by her husband and music partner, Emilio Estefan, as well as her children for the ceremony, which took place outside the historic Cardozo Hotel, which she owns.
“What a way to close out our 50th year in the music industry and with the number 13, that’s our family lucky number, next to our hotel, that for us it was important to be a part of the growth of the city,” Estefan said.
